Clear Lens Extraction

Clear lens extraction (CLE) involves the removal of the clear crystalline lens using techniques routinely used for cataract surgery. These patients typically have high degrees of myopia or hyperopia and refractive error is corrected by placing an intraocular lens at the time of the procedure.
